Every week, I discover countless new discoveries. Some older acts, some newer acts...but what I'm always amazed by is how many great acts are overlooked, while ordinary acts become popular and this is only because they are promoted.

It's New Music Friday, and this week, the releases you need to hear are by:  A Cloud Of Ravens, Black Stone Cherry, Buckcherry, CRASHFACE, The Jacks, Jade Bird, Micky James, Ready the Prince, SaintAhmad, Vazum, and Wildstreet!

SaintAhmad's newest tune "Clouds" is a tune that showcases the soulfulness of Ahmad's voice. This song is perfect to unwind to, and it makes you forget about everything you're worrying about. This is because it captures the listener's attention from the beginning of the song to the end, something rarely achieved because many songs have great parts but few songs are great songs as a whole.

I found out about Rock Rose from Rate Your Music, when I was looking at a list of obscure rock albums online.

It's New Music Friday, and this week, the releases you need to hear are by: Gaby Paul, The Great Leslie, Phantom Atlantic, Profit Drama, Scarlet Magnum, Sjay, True Villains, Vanderwoolf, and Va Va Voom!

The second EP from Scarlet Magnum is excellent. Full of honest lyrics and fantastic musicianship, it shows listeners that Scarlet Magnum gets better and better.

Vanderwoolf is a three piece rock n roll band hailing from New York City. Their forceful yet intimate songs draw from a wide range of influences, including Siouxsie & The Banshees, PJ Harvey, The Distillers, and The Gun Club.

The first time I remember hearing Starz was in December 2011, when my dad was playing his CD copy of Violation. I remember hearing one song and I asked him who it was, and for some reason a little bit of time passed before I properly checked them out.

1: How did you decide on the name, “Lizzie & The Makers"?

I first found out about Miami from Spotify! I've always been fascinated by Tommy Bolin, and when I found out that there was a James Gang album he played on, I wanted to check it out.

I first found out about Neon Trees in 2012, after hearing “Everybody Talks” on “Universal Music Group Record Store Day Sampler 2012″.

1: How did you decide on the name, “Jane N' The Jungle"?

I found this album one day when I was record shopping and it stood out to me because it had the promo strip and gold stamp on it!

I found this album for a few bucks at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ! I remembered seeing the cover on Discogs in the Recommendations section.

I discovered Queen in 2010 when I was going through my dad's CDs, and I remember asking him, "What is Queen?", and he put on Queen's Jazz album. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

1: How did you decide on the name, “True Villains"?

I first found out about The Rockets because of record shopping. I remember seeing this album for a few dollars and the vinyl was really beat up, so I didn't get it.

It's a lot of work to run a music blog, and everything you see posted on Generation Clash is done by me.

The latest track from The Great Leslie is out now, and you've gotta hear. Lyrically, it discusses nostalgia. It talks about how we all miss social interaction. It's a reaction to COVID. Musically, it feels like a reminder that this struggle is temporary, things won't be abnormal forever.

I first found out about The Fools, like 75% of what I listen to, which is by going to the record store.

We're here to present the new single from Scarlet Magnum, the alt-rocking, head banging duo from Madison, NJ.

To me, rock has always been an overlooked genre.

Never Never Land is an album that I waited a long time to hear. It was never on Spotify, and I was never able to find a copy of it on vinyl.
