I discovered Waterparks because of my friend Syd! She shared Turbulent on her Instagram story, and I remember liking it, but it took me time to love it.

One band I've been listening to a lot lately is Star Star. They are a band I discovered while looking through my dad's promo flats. I always loved the cover art because of how detailed and colorful it is!

I discovered The Greg Kihn Band while listening to my friend Chris' radio show, "A.M. Transistor"! He played "The Breakup Song" and I loved it!

I discovered Lime Spiders in 2009, after my dad borrowed two CDs by them. The two albums her borrowed were  “Volatile” and “Beethoven’s Fist”.

Here is the first installment in our Retronaut Snapshots column where I will share some of my snapshots each month!!

I discovered Baton Rouge after I heard "Walks Like A Woman" a playlist made by my friend Steph! While looking through CDs, I found the CD of "Shake Your Soul" in my dad's collection and I burned it. I liked it, but when I heard their second album, "Lights Out On The Playground", I was blown away. I listened to it start to finish, never skipping any of the songs.

1: How did you decide on the name, “SAMSARA."?  

I remember discovering Umphrey's McGee at Gallery Of Sound, when I heard "Zonkey" playing in the store. I was blown away at what I heard. The song that got my attention was "Life During Exodus" and I had to know what I was listening to. The answer is Umphrey's McGee.

The fourth and final album by Strapps is fantastic.

Slender Pins are a London based dance punk band who write songs about medieval plagues,  wicked landlords and millennial metropolitan life. Stone Nobles are a hard rock quartet from Providence, Rhode Island. They formed in 2019, featuring Ross Reign, Lancer Steele, Davy Charr, and Brody Silver.

I discovered The Clocks at Gallery Of Sound. I found their album the same day as I found Balance's debut album. I recall not buying them because I wasn't sure what genre they would be, but I stopped doing leaving an album if I was unsure of the genre. I started to ask myself why certain albums got my attention and I started buying these albums because I wanted to listen to these bands.

1: How did you decide on the name, “Tenderheart Bitches"?

I discovered Young Turk while listening to a Concrete Corner sampler! The first song I heard by them was "The Saddest Song (La Di Da)" and I was blown away by it. I had listened to my Concrete Corner tapes, but how did I not notice this band before?

I got into this album because my dad had an extra copy that was a later pressing and he gave it to me when I  started collecting vinyl.

The latest tune from Oslo is a heavy metal tune. It begins with silence, but 43 seconds in, it begins and we hear instruments, not drum machines, it's a person creating music with instruments. All we ask you to do is listen, so give this excellent tune a listen!

I discovered RHCP when I was a kid. I remember seeing the music videos for "By The Way" and "Can't Stop" on TV all the time, and I always loved both of those videos and I would watch the entire thing whenever it came on.

The debut album by The Delusions is amazing.

I discovered Roadmaster because of a website called RateYourMusic. I was looking up 1970s obscure rock albums and I saw the album cover to Sweet Music! I remember adding it to my Spotify library, but I didn't start listening to them until I had gotten a copy of it on vinyl. After I got it on vinyl, I listened to it all the time and it became one of my favorite albums ever!
