On October 24, 2025, Jim Keller released his seventh solo album titled "End Of The World".
The title of this album is really interesting because it feels like it's a soundtrack for the end of the world. It feels like if the world was going to end today, Jim has said everything he wanted to say before he's unable to.
The topics in these songs discuss loving one another, things we have no time for, going home, and getting over someone among other things.
I think that the lyrics on this album remind us to tell people how we feel and that we should be honest with ourselves. We should step back and look at what we make time for and what we allow to stay the same.
This album is the seventh chapter of Jim's late-career renaissance and it's terrific. This record offers a wry, sardonic take on modern life while balancing sharp wit and earnest sincerity as it reckons with loss, mortality, resilience, and hope.
You can see Jim live at McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, California on Sunday, January 18th. You can purchase tickets here: https://www.mccabes.com/product/jim-keller
