Today, Sparks have released their first ever live album, "Live On The Moon" on Transgressive Records.
It is a 20-song collection that is presented as a one-off concert that was staged at the Taruntius Crater near Mare Fecunditatis on the Moon, and it features with Ron and Russell Mael weaving science fiction humor into a project that spans more than five decades of the band’s catalogue.
Cate Blanchett is featured throughout the release providing the concert’s introduction and closing remarks as its fictional lunar emcee.
The album is available as a limited-edition double CD set and a limited edition 2LP on Double Moon colored vinyl.
