I remember my dad telling me that B. Alan Andrews, the singer of L.A. Trash used to sing "The Big Beat" at rehearsal.

I looked up which Billy Squier album "The Big Beat" appeared on and I discovered "The Tale Of The Tape".

I remember "The Tale Of The Tape" being one of the first albums that I would listen to from beginning to end because it amazed me how it was diverse it was. It wasn't only rockers or ballads. It included different song styles which is what great debut albums do. It shows listeners what an artist is capable of doing.

Prior to this, Billy Squier was in a band called Piper who released two albums on A&M Records. The first was titled "Piper" and the second was called "Can't Wait".
