Spotlight: Stuck On Planet Earth

Today's spotlight article is about a Canadian alt-rock trio called Stuck on Planet Earth that channels raw energy, moody grooves, and unapologetic honesty into every note. Their sound fuses the grit of ‘90s rock with a soulful modern edge which creates an atmosphere that is both visceral and vulnerable. This is music for the late-night thinkers, the beautiful wrecks, and anyone who’s ever tried to rebuild themselves from the ground up.

Their latest album, All But Nothing, lives between hope and collapse, in the space where everything you’ve built starts to break, and you have to decide what’s worth saving. It’s a record about the reckoning that follows loss, the quiet resilience that keeps you standing, and the clarity that only comes after everything falls apart.

Recorded partly live off the floor, All But Nothing captures the pulse of a band whose chemistry can’t be faked. Written during a creative exile in Nashville, the songs reflect the distance and freedom that came from leaving their hometown of Vaughan, Ontario behind. That separation gave them permission to write without armour, to lean into imperfection, and to rediscover the raw emotion that first brought them together.

The album features collaborations with Brendan Benson (The Raconteurs) and production by Joe Ginsberg, Hill Kourkoutis (a JUNO Award-winning producer/engineer), and Chris Price (Ringo Starr), All But Nothing stands as both a return and an evolution.

It’s a homecoming to their roots in unfiltered storytelling, and a bold step forward in sonic maturity. It’s stripped down and cinematic, equal parts power and vulnerability. Beneath the melodic guitars and propulsive drums lives something deeply human: an invitation to feel everything.

I remember discovering Stuck On Planet Earth on Spotify and I remember listening to their debut album, but when I think of Stuck On Planet Earth, I think of "Strange" and "Crack In The Glass" because I remember listening to each of those songs the day they were released and loving both.

I've been dedicating more time to spotlighting artists I love on Generation Clash and I wanted to help promote this awesome band with some info about them and my memories of them.
