Generation Clash's 7th Anniversary

Published on 8 April 2026 at 10:45

On March 27, 2019, I created Generation Clash. One day, I started thinking about all the information I know about music and how I could apply it to something. It became very clear to me that I should start a page to share the music I've discovered. I realized that I've discovered a lot of artists simply by choosing to listen and I wanted to share these artists with people. I want to encourage people to not only listen to what they love, but share it with people. Music discovery is very important, whether it's an artist from a genre you love or an artist from a genre you've never listened to.

Generation Clash has grown beyond me sharing the bands I love, to me also sharing incredible artists that I am sent press releases for in hopes that they have a chance of being featured on Generation Clash. I have a simple policy, if I love it, I write about it. If I don't, it's not my job to share what I don't like because just because I don't like something, doesn't mean I have to ruin what someone else loves. You feature what you love, and you keep what you don't like to yourself. We are promoting music here, not saying that we hate certain music. I do feel it's also important to talk about being open minded and listening because this is what helps you to expand your music taste and you will want to check out more music from more genres.

I wanted to thank everyone for every like, comment, share, repost, message, and view on an Instagram stories. Thank you for your efforts to share and interact what Generation Clash is doing. I have a lot of awesome stuff coming this year so don't be afraid to check in on the Instagram page, Facebook page or the website!
