What I'm here to tell you about is Frankie Muriel's debut solo album, "I"M STILL STANDING". It was preceded by 4 singles, including "Sweet Surrender", "Those Were The Nights", "I'm Still Standing" and a fantastic new version of the KINGOFTHEHILL classic, "If I Say".
"I'm Still Standing is an album that is fearless and dearly personal. It's packed with rock, funk, soul, and gospel. These songs are chapters. They are inspired by grief, growth, fatherhood and redemption.
Many people feel that when an artist gets older, they should find another line of work. There are countless older artists who are still putting out great music after all these years. Why should that be the music that gets eliminated from this world? There's plenty of young people we're told are stars today but let's face it, our minds aren't being blown. The music industry needs to start paying attention to artists of every genre, age group and background.
