Saw them on this tour. This album *IS* amazing, because it takes the strengths of Animalize and Lick It Up and amplifies the heaviness as well as tightens the slickness of both, thus making it one of the most solid non-makeup albums in the catalog. The image may have been over the top glam, but the music is heavy and rocking, even has elements of thrash/speed metal on some stuff. There are the anthems as well, and Bruce Kulick really shines as lead guitarist on his first full length KISS album. Highly recommended to those who are open to more than just the original band.
