At Generation Clash, we are dedicated to sharing the artists that you need to hear. Our latest spotlight post is on Doheny Drive.

Doheny Drive is a dynamic power pop group formed in 2020. They embody a musical legacy that echoes beyond Hollywood's iconic streets.

Originating from Mexico City, Jerry Jade and Manny Mtz, the masterminds behind the band have navigated a remarkable journey. They earned acclaim by opening for prominent acts like Rook, L.A. Guns, and Santa Cruz. They've shaped their identity by fusing power pop with heavy rock undertones.

Their debut EP was crafted during quarantine. It was produced by Joel Ferber, which was a pivotal moment. After overcoming challenges, the EP revealed their raw talent and DIY ethos which set the stage for their future success.

They drew inspiration from Philip Naslund and Rivington Roi Rebis and they explored a disco-infused heavy rock sound, leading to their breakthrough single, "Madonna".

Now, with Stefano Pigliapoco at the helm, Doheny Drive anticipates their third album, featuring the songwriting talents of Bradley Scott. Their single, "Runaway" reflects on their formative years in Los Angeles, promising a nostalgic yet evocative soundtrack for Summer 2024.

From a DIY project to a sonic innovator, Doheny Drive's journey exemplifies their commitment to pushing musical boundaries, embodying the transformative power of passion, collaboration, and unwavering artistic expression in the ever-evolving music industry.

Their latest release, "90035" came out on April 5, 2025 featuring two songs produced by Joel Ferber and one song produced by Stefano Pigliapoco.
