6 Years Of Generation Clash

Published on 27 March 2025 at 08:05

On March 27, 2019, I created Generation Clash. When I started running GenClash, it was about the artists that I discovered that I wanted to share with people. All of the artists were artists that none of my friends were talking about and it seemed like an interesting idea to be the one who shares these bands and artists with other people since there are so many artists that weren't promoted and this is why we don't know about them.

The artists that inspired me to create Generation Clash are City Boy and Nantucket. Both are artists that I discovered in the used vinyl section for a few dollars and eventually became two of my favorite bands. The list of interesting artists I discovered grew every time I went to the record store.

I've written about music from the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. I try to check out music from all eras and all genres because the more music you check out, the more you will want to discover.

I've written about artists like Starz, Regina Spektor, Bad Religion, The Rubinoos, Pseudo Echo, Brasko, Sleeping With Sirens, Mother May I, Beck, Rory Gallagher, Charlie, Saigon Kick, Palaye Royale, Charlie Puth, Beth Ditto, Sad Cafe, Dragon, Rox, James Gang, David Essex, Panic! At The Disco, Enuff Z'Nuff, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Gamma, Alabama Shakes, L.A. Guns, Waterparks, Radattack and so many more.

While GenClash has been a place for me to write about older artists, I've discovered so many new artists including Ready the Prince, BRKN LOVE, Steven Cortez, Anne Bennett, Sunny Danger, Scarlet Magnum, Ivy Kill, Pan Arcadia, R-NOT, Zack King, Silvertone Hills, Profit Drama and many more.

I've expanded GenClash to have a graphic design department where I get to collaborate with artists to create cover art as well as doing liner notes and designing CD booklets!

I appreciate every like, comment, follow, and share.

Thank you to all the artists that reach out to me to be considered for coverage on GenClash.

Thank you to every artist who let me design cover art for them.

So much awesome stuff is on the way in 2025 and beyond for GenClash...I can't wait to share it with you guys.
