New Music Friday: Phil Seymour

Phil Seymour was an American drummer, singer, guitarist and songwriter.

He was born on May 15, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and he died on August 17, 1993 in Sherman Oaks, California.

He was in The Dwight Twilley Band, Oister, The Textones and The Zigs.

He released two solo albums on Boardwalk Records, which included 1981's "Phil Seymour" and 1982's "Phil Seymour 2".

In 1993, "Buzz Clic With Phil Seymour" came out and was a cassette only release until 2022 when it was released on vinyl in Japan.

After his death, a number of releases came out from different labels including 1993's "Phil Seymour" on Bison Records, 2014's "Phil Seymour In Concert!" on Airline Records, 2016's "The London and Los Angeles Unreleased Sessions" on Sunset Blvd Records, 2020's "If You Don't' Want My Love" on Sunset Blvd Records, and 2023's "Live On The Sunset Strip" on Sunset Blvd Records.
