
Danny Spanos was born George Spannos. He was born and raised in South Lyon, Michigan. He played drums with several groups including Redbone who was known for their hit song "Come and Get Your Love". He also played drums on the theme song from the 1970s TV series Starsky and Hutch.
He played on "Mysticism Romance" by Tony Newton and he did backing vocals on "East Of Eden's Gate" by Billy Thorpe.
He filmed a video for the song "Excuse Me" which made it into the MTV video rotation in early 1983.
"Hot Cherie" was covered by Hardline, which became a hit for them in 1992. "I'd Lie to You for Your Love" was later turned into a country hit by The Bellamy Brothers.
Danny released three albums, "Danny Spanos" in 1980 on Windsong Records and "Passion In The Dark" in 1983 and "Looks Like Trouble" in 1984 on Epic Records.
