In March 2020, I read a news article that said that US residents needed to wear masks in order to protect themselves from COVID-19.
I have never experienced having to wear a mask in a pandemic until 2020.
The future felt uncertain. I had so many questions. Was this the end of the world? Was everything going to be okay?
The pandemic showed me a few things including what matters to people. I know people who got vaccinated and it wasn't to protect themselves, it was to do whatever they wanted. The most common thing I saw was going to concerts.
During this time, attending concerts wasn't important to me because I didn't think it was worth it to go to a concert if I was being put at risk of getting COVID, because whether you're vaccinated or not, you can still get COVID. What I don't understand is why people wouldn't still wear masks at shows to protect themselves. Just because you got vaccinated doesn't mean you can't still get COVID. It doesn't disappear from the world just because you got a vaccine.
There are things that aren't drugs that people are addicted to. If you can't say no, you're addicted. I don't care if it's drugs, concerts, vinyl, or clothes. I know people who have to go to another concert if one gets canceled. There's no such thing as staying home and watching a movie. They have to be out doing something or they don't feel alive.
There were a lot of things that are far more important than going to concerts. How about checking on your friends and family? How about researching how you can protect yourself and other people. How about wearing a mask not because you're told to but because you want to?
The safety measures that we were told to do are so easy yet people couldn't wait to take that mask off and do what they wanted. I'm sorry, but I don't feel bad for anyone who got COVID when they could've worn a mask and protected themselves.
I listened to a lot of music during lockdown including BRKN LOVE, Ready the Prince, Fandango, Twenty One Pilots, Palaye Royale, Fever Down River and more! I even made a playlist so you can listen to what I was listening to then!
During lockdown, I was finishing my first book, "Journey To Generation Clash". The promotion period happened during COVID so it was hard for me to feel like my book was important when everyone was struggling financially. There were people who did purchase my book despite the circumstances and I appreciate everyone who took the time to support me!
I made 67 sales in 2020 and I made 33 sales after my campaign. This involved a lot of following up to keep selling books.
You have to promote your product. Send a note, see who is interested and make a sale.
Many people feel that COVID-19 was a bad dream and we are gonna wake up. This is the world we live in. I believe that a lot of things happened that wouldn't have if COVID-19 didn't happen.
