Retronaut Jukebox is back with it’s 20th installment!

We created this playlist to share 10 old songs and 10 new songs to promote musical diversity. There are so many great acts, old and new, and we want to share these artists with you.

This month’s playlist includes: Instructions, Ready the Prince, Leon Russell, Black Pontiac, Samson and more!!

This month’s featured artist is the fantastic Profit Drama! So, read along to learn more about him and hear about his tune “Pretty Dress”!

Let me start by saying that Profit Drama is one of the coolest artists I've ever listened to. His work is so unique and fascinating. I was torn on what song to feature on Retronaut Jukebox because he has so many good ones, but I chose Pretty Dress because I've been obsessed with it lately.

Lyrically, this song makes me think about gender roles because the stereotype is that women wear dresses and stay home, and the men go out and work. This is an outdated stereotype, because there are women who work and stay home too. They do both and it's one of the most amazing things about women, they're capable of so many things.

Back to the song, this also reminds me of how Harry Styles wore a dress on the cover of Vogue, and it made me think about gender norms. This song makes me think of that because there's a lyric where a woman mistakes a man for a woman, and these gender norms shouldn't exist anymore. Why we assign certain things to certain genders is ridiculous. Anyone can be what they want to be.

The song is one of a kind, and it's fantastic.
